Techsara Solutions (“Techsara,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the information processed through our QuickBooks-Salesforce Invoice Integration application (the “App”).

This Privacy Policy explains what information the App may access, how that information is used, how it is protected, and the choices available to users.

1. Information We Collect or Access

When you connect and use the App, the App may access information from your connected QuickBooks Online and Salesforce accounts only as needed to provide the integration services.

Customer Information

The App may access customer-related information, including:

  • Customer names
  • Email addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Billing addresses
  • Customer account details required for invoice synchronization

Invoice Information

The App may access invoice-related information, including:

  • Invoice numbers
  • Invoice amounts
  • Invoice line items and descriptions
  • Invoice dates
  • Due dates
  • Invoice status
  • Payment status

Payment Information

The App may access payment-related information recorded in QuickBooks Online, including:

  • Payment amounts
  • Payment dates
  • Payment methods
  • Payment references
  • Payment status information

Account and Connection Information

To connect Salesforce and QuickBooks Online, the App may process account and authentication-related information, including:

  • QuickBooks Company ID
  • Salesforce User ID
  • OAuth authorization tokens
  • Integration configuration settings

OAuth tokens are used only to maintain a secure authorized connection between Salesforce and QuickBooks Online.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information accessed by the App only for the purpose of providing and maintaining the QuickBooks-Salesforce integration.

This includes:

  • Synchronizing invoices between Salesforce and QuickBooks Online
  • Creating, updating, and managing customer records between connected systems
  • Tracking invoice and payment status across connected systems
  • Supporting invoice reminders and invoice-related notifications
  • Maintaining integration configuration and connection status
  • Helping users view invoice-related activity within their authorized systems
  • Troubleshooting and supporting the App when requested by an authorized user

We do not use your connected business data for unrelated purposes.

We do not:

  • Sell your data to third parties
  • Use your connected QuickBooks or Salesforce data for advertising
  • Share your business data with other customers
  • Access your data except as required to provide, maintain, secure, or support the App
  • Use your invoice, customer, or payment data for independent marketing purposes

3. Data Storage and Security

The App is designed to operate through your connected Salesforce and QuickBooks Online environments.

Your business data may be stored in:

  • Your Salesforce instance, managed by Salesforce
  • Your QuickBooks Online account, managed by Intuit
  • Integration configuration areas required to operate the connection

Techsara Solutions does not intentionally store your full customer, invoice, or payment records on separate external servers unless required for a specific implementation and disclosed to you.

Security Measures

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information processed through the App.

These safeguards may include:

  • Secure API communication using HTTPS/TLS
  • OAuth 2.0 authorization for connected account access
  • Limited access based on integration requirements
  • Avoiding storage of customer account passwords
  • Use of Salesforce and QuickBooks Online platform security controls
  • Restricting access to authorized personnel only when support is required

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. However, we take reasonable steps to protect information processed by the App from unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.

We may share or process information only in the following limited situations:

  • With Salesforce, as your CRM platform provider
  • With Intuit QuickBooks Online, as your accounting platform provider
  • With service providers or contractors only if required to support the App and subject to confidentiality obligations
  • When required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or legal process
  • When necessary to protect our rights, users, systems, property, or safety
  • In connection with a business transfer, merger, acquisition, or similar corporate transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections

5. Third-Party Services

The App connects with third-party services that are controlled by their respective providers.

These services include:

  • Salesforce: https://www.salesforce.com/company/legal/privacy/
  • Intuit QuickBooks Online: https://www.intuit.com/privacy/statement/

Your use of Salesforce and QuickBooks Online is also governed by their own privacy policies, security practices, and terms of service. We encourage you to review those policies carefully.

6. User Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information.

These rights may include the ability to:

  • Request access to information processed through the App
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of certain information
  • Request restriction of certain processing activities
  • Disconnect the App from QuickBooks Online
  • Revoke OAuth access from QuickBooks Online settings
  • Revoke access from Salesforce connected app settings
  • Contact us with privacy-related questions or requests

Please note that some information may remain in Salesforce or QuickBooks Online after synchronization. You control retention and deletion of data within your own Salesforce and QuickBooks Online accounts.

7. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the App, support the integration, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

When you disconnect the App:

  • The App will no longer access your QuickBooks Online data through the API
  • The App will no longer continue synchronization between connected systems
  • OAuth access may be revoked
  • Data already synchronized to Salesforce may remain in your Salesforce instance
  • Data already stored in QuickBooks Online may remain in your QuickBooks Online account

You are responsible for managing retention, deletion, and access permissions inside your own Salesforce and QuickBooks Online accounts.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for business use and is not directed to children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that information from a child has been collected through the App, we will take appropriate steps to delete such information.

9. International Data Processing

Your information may be processed in locations where Salesforce, Intuit, their service providers, or authorized infrastructure providers operate.

If you access or use the App from outside the country where these services are hosted, your information may be transferred across international borders.

Where applicable, such processing is subject to the privacy, security, and data transfer practices of Salesforce, Intuit, and any other relevant service providers.

10. Compliance

The App is designed to support responsible data handling for business integrations between Salesforce and QuickBooks Online.

Depending on your location, configuration, and use case, privacy laws such as the following may apply to your business:

  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA
  • Other applicable data protection or privacy laws

You are responsible for determining whether your use of the App meets your organization’s legal, regulatory, accounting, and compliance requirements.

Techsara Solutions does not guarantee that use of the App alone will make your organization compliant with any specific law or regulation.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we may also provide notice through the App, by email, or through another appropriate method.

Your continued use of the App after changes are posted means you acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy.

12. Data Breach Notification

If we become aware of a security incident that affects information processed by the App, we will take reasonable steps to investigate, mitigate, and respond to the incident.

Where legally required, we will notify affected users and/or relevant authorities within the required timeframe.

Notification may include:

  • A description of the incident
  • The type of information involved
  • Steps taken to address the issue
  • Recommended actions for affected users
  • Contact information for follow-up questions
